Course Description: This year-long Forensic Science course introduces students to the exciting world of scientific investigation. Students will explore how science is used to solve mysteries, uncover evidence, analyze data, and draw conclusions in real-world contexts. The course emphasizes observation, critical thinking, laboratory techniques, problem solving, and the scientific method — all taught from a biblical worldview.
Course Content Overview: Investigation & Evidence Units May Include:
Introduction to forensic science principles
Observation vs. inference
Crime scene documentation and protocols
Collection and analysis of physical evidence
Fingerprint classification and analysisPattern evidence (e.g., footprints, tool marks)Basic biological evidence interpretation
Logic, reasoning, and constructing explanations
