Course Objectives
• Understand major historical periods and cultural movements.
• Analyze literature, art, music, and philosophical ideas.
• Identify connections between history, culture, and artistic expression.
• Compare different perspectives and worldviews.
• Develop critical thinking and discussion skills.
• Write clear and organized responses to humanities-based topics.
• Analyze primary and secondary sources.
• Strengthen research, organization, and presentation skills.
Required Materials(s)
• Notebook or binder for notes
• Pens and highlighters
• Access to a computer or tablet with internet
• Access to a printer when needed

Course Prerequisite(s)
Students should have basic reading comprehension skills and the ability to write organized paragraphs. No prior
humanities or history course is required.
