Course Description
In this class, students explore music from around the world while developing creativity through listening, performing,
improvising, and composing. Students gain exposure to diverse musical styles, instruments, and traditions while building
confidence and musical expression.
 
Course Objectives
• Explore music from different cultures.
• Identify music from various genres.
• Learn about instruments from other regions.
• Improvise music individually and in groups.
• Compose an original musical piece.

• Regular attendance.
• Attendance at performances.
• Practice at home.
• Completion of homework assignments.

Classroom participation: 35%
Homework: 15%
