Course Title: Algebra 2
Course Objectives: Algebra 2 builds upon the concepts introduced in Algebra 1 and expands students’ understanding of functions, equations, and algebraic structures. Students explore linear, quadratic, polynomial, rational, exponential, and logarithmic functions, along with systems of equations, sequences, and probability. The course emphasizes mathematical reasoning, precision, and real-world application while preparing students for advanced math courses.
By the end of the course, students will be able to:
• Analyze and graph a variety of functions
• Solve quadratic, polynomial, rational, exponential, and logarithmic equations
• Work with complex numbers
• Solve systems of equations and inequalities
• Understand sequences and series
• Apply algebraic concepts to real-world problems
• Communicate mathematical reasoning clearly and accurately
