Course Description: We will explore both the land animals and marine life in the class. Students will learn about their classification, characteristics, environment, eating habits, anatomy and much more. This class is taught from a biblical worldview.
Course Objectives: Students will learn about each animal individually: aquatic animals, whales, reptiles, fish, sharks, rays, crustaceans, mollusks, mammals, felines, marsupials, primates, rodents, reptiles, amphibians, arthropods and more. They will be able to explain the similarities and differences among the animals. They will learn about their environment.
Grade Level: 6th-8th
Class Time: Tuesday 11:40AM-12:55PM
Course Duration: Full Year
Required Book(s): Exploring Creation with Zoology 2 and 3 by Fulbright
Required Materials(s): Binder, pencil, colored pencils, paper
Supply Fee: $70 (for hands-on weekly science experiments, such as dissections; live animal care)
Classroom Expectations: Students will participate, respect others and complete assignments on time.
Grading Policies: Participation 25%, Labs 25%, Homework 25%, Quizzes 25%
Grading Scale: 100%-90% A, 89%-80% B, 79%-70% C, 69%-60% D, 59%-0% F
