Course Description: For many, reading the Old Testament can be a daunting task.  This course teaches students how to better interact with these ancient texts.  We will steer clear of specific doctrinal teachings while upholding the story of the gospel as made known throughout the entire Bible.
Course Objectives: By the end of the year,  students will have a better understanding of the types of literature used in the Old Testament (books of law, history, poetry, and prophecy) as well as the general content of each book.  They will also begin to see how the Old Testament is connected to the New Testament.
Grade Level: 9th-12th
Class Time: Tuesday 2:35PM-3:50PM

Classroom Expectations:
Come to class ready to learn.
Be respectful of everyone in the room (this includes staying off of your phone during class time).
Keep up with your work outside of class.
Please let me know if you will be absent ahead of time if possible.
Grading Policies: Attendance/Participation 10%, Homework 50%, Projects 10%, Quizzes 30%
Grading Scale: 100%-90% A, 89%-80% B, 79%-70% C, 69%-60% D, 59%-0% F
